| How is the lumber graded? |

Our lumber is graded by our own proprietary system, one that caters to our primary cliental. To get the details, click here.

| The center of the tree looks rotten, is it still usable? |
|
It really depends on the amount of rot. If there is still large sections of unrotted wood, then the tree may be worth salvaging. Email us a photo, and we can help judge its condition.

| Why don't you take softwoods? |
|
Softwoods are commonly used for in building materials, and less for cabinet and furniture construction. The sap present in softwoods requires a kiln to cure or harden it completely. In general, the wood produced from softwood trees is out of range for our target market, and our facilities are geared for hardwood lumber.

| What is the biggest log you will accept? |
|
A log bigger than 36 inches in diameter is probably too large for us to easily manage. If it was an odd or unusual species we may make an exception. Email us if you have any questions. |
