Custom sawing
Do you have a log?
Sawing a log is the least expensive lumber you can get. Bring a log in on a trailer or with a tow truck, and leave it with us. In a few weeks we will turn it into lumber, cut the way you want. We do not offer a drying service, but we can show you how to dry it, and sell you the stickers.
We charge 100$ per hour for custom sawing, and on average a clean 10’ x 24” log may take around 2 hours to saw. The bigger the log, the better your board foot price gets. The best part of custom sawing is you have your own pile to work from. We recommend bringing a log in every six months, and you’ll never need to by lumber again!
We do not offer kiln drying. It's hard to dry small batches, and both of our kilns are busy supplying us with inventory. We are happy to show you how to air dry lumber however. Look over this PDF for more information.
Custom wood working
We offer a full variety of wood working services, all for $100 per hour. We can process the lumber you purchase from us, or you can bring in your own lumber. We can do as much or as little as you need, handing it off for you to take over, or delivering a fully finished project.
Glue ups
We are well suited to glue up large panels, table tops. We do this every day and have a good system for getting large projects assembled.
Stickers for sale
The spacers placed in between lumber when its drying, called “stickers”, are key in making a good dry pile. We sell white oak stickers for $1.25 a piece.
Planing, joining, flattening
We can surface and edge join your lumber. We have a 24” wide max planer width and a 37” wide max wide belt sander width. We can flatten and then plane lumber pretty fast and well.
Sanding and finishing
We also fill voids, finish sand, and apply top coats to specification.
